The Welsh National - Sunday 21st January 2007 -
The Afon Lido Sports Centre, Averavon Beach, Port Talbot.

There were a total of 41 Javas benched at this years Welsh National.Two Society committee members Andy Dutton and Dave Pover had a good day taking a share of the top honours.

Best Adult Java was won by Andy with a nice Normal cock bird which went on to take Best Java In Show. Best Current Year Owner Bred Java was won by Dave also with a fine young Normal. Andy also took Best Silver, Best Fawn and Best A.O.C. whilst Dave took Best White or Pied and Best Timor Sparrow.

Secretary Bryan Roberts took Best Pied. The show was a complete success and a good day was had by all.

The society would like to thank Bryan, Andy, Dave and fellow committee member Billy Hughes who manned the society table on the day where over half a dozen new members joined.

JSSUK Annual Members Show Report 2007- October 14th, Bingley Hall, Stafford.

Our annual members show was held this year in conjunction with The Bird Show Of The Year at Stafford on October 14th and was a great success.

The birds were judged by the now late Mr John Wainwright and the committee would like to forward their tremendous gratitude for his great work.

There were a total of 133 cages entered and 91 were benched on the day, 17 members exhibited their birds. The Best Java In Show was won by Frank Carter with a current year Opal Isabel which also won Best Current Year Owner Bred.

Second best bird in show was won by Bernard Howlett with a Cream which also took Best Adult Java.

Best Junior In Show was won by Miss L . Elliott.
